Possibility for Bike Lockers at Merrick Station

At Thursday's meeting of the , a concerned citizen addressed the issue of bicycle safety at the Merrick railroad station.

The Merokean has had two bicycles stolen from the train station, the lock snipped, he told attendees. He addressed this with a problem-oriented police (POP) officer at the meeting, however, Claudia Borecky, president of the Civic, said that it may be a possibility to get bike lockers at the station like there are in Bellmore in order to combat the crime.
