Deliveryman Speeds Away from Attempted Robbery
BREAKING: Police say he managed to get away before someone could get into his car.

A delivery driver in Roosevelt sped away before he could be robbed Tuesday afternoon.
According to detectives, while on East Greenwich Avenue delivering Chinese food to a home at 2:45 p.m., the 49-year-old driver, while still in his car, was approached by a man who attempted to open the driver’s side door. The driver, in fear for his safety, drove away from the scene and called 911.
The driver described the man as being in his late teens, black, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and wearing a blue hoodie.
