E-Biker Hospitalized With Head Trauma After Crash In Baldwin: PD
A man was hospitalized Tuesday after he got into a crash while riding his e-bike, police say.
BALDWIN, NY — A 57-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday evening after he got into a crash with a Dodge while riding his e-bike through Baldwin, police said.
Nassau County police said the unidentified e-biker was riding “at a high rate of speed” on the northbound side of Dorlon Place at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday when he made a right turn onto Steele Boulevard. At that point, police said the man struck a 2005 Dodge that was being driven by a 55-year-old man.
The e-biker suffered head trauma in the crash and was hospitalized; he’s listed in stable condition, police said.

E-bikes have been at the center of several crashes in Nassau County this year, and were the subject of a May county police ban that sparked confusion among Nassau County residents.
As for Tuesday’s crash, police said the Dodge driver stayed at the scene and an investigation is ongoing. No arrests or charges have been announced as a result of the crash.
