Community Corner

North and Central Merrick Civic Association

The North and Central Merrick Civic Association's next meeting will take place on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the North Merrick Library, 1691 Meadowbrook Road, North Merrick.  First Precinct Police Officers will report on criminal activity in our area, followed by updates on the privatization of our sewer treatment plants, Ban on Hydrofracking Wastewater, LIRR Parking Permits, the Merrick Avenue Beautification Project and other community issues.  Most of this meeting will involve informal discussion on issues that concern the people of our community. All our meetings are open to the general public.

The NCMCA covers all of Merrick north of Sunrise, excepting territories covered by the Merrick Park Homeowners Association (from Loines Ave. South to Sunrise and east of Merrick Ave) and the Wenshaw Park Homeowners Association (east of Little Whaleneck and south of the Southern State).

If anyone has concerns that it would like the NCMCA to address, please come to our meeting or call President Claudia Borecky at 972-6988.  All calls will remain confidential.   For more details, please visit our website at www.northmerrickcivic.org or email claudiaborecky@gmail.com.
