Girl Scouts of Nassau County Invites Long Islanders to 7th Annual "Girls Go the Distance" Walkathon and Activity Fair on Apri

WHAT:

The Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) will be hosting their 7th annual Girls Go the Distance Walkathon and Activity Fair, with this year’s special scavenger hunt, at Old Bethpage Village Restoration on Sunday, April 17, 2016. This fundraising event supports GSNC’s Healthy Living Initiative programs, which encourage girls to live healthy lifestyles physically, emotionally and socially. Last year, more than 800 Long Island residents attended the event, enjoying a fun-filled day outdoors, while participating in health-themed games and program activities.

COST:

Girl Scout Walker: $35 fee. Member of the Girl Scouts who gets family and friends to sponsor a minimum of $35.00 to walk, and receive the special Girls Go the Distance T-shirt and patch.

Adult Walker: $35 fee. Adults who want to help fund raise a minimum of $35.00 to walk, and receive the special Girls Go the Distance T-shirt and patch.

Accompanying Adult: $10.00 fee. Adult accompanying the Walker, but does not wish to receive the Girls Go the Distance T-shirt and patch.

Tag Along: $10.00 fee. Child three years or older, or a non-Girl Scouts member, who will not receive the special Girls Go the Distance T-shirt and patch.

Individual Girl and Troop incentives and monetary rebates are also available for all registered participants.
