HBO Releases Mildred Pierce Trailer

HBO has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming miniseries Mildred Pierce, which was filmed in part in Merrick in June. 

The trailer for the series, which stars Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet, runs about a minute and half.  Stay until the end, though, to catch brief glimpes of scenes shot in the Merrick Gables. 

Mildred Pierce is the story of a middle-class housewife's struggle to support her family during the Great Depression. The five-part miniseries will begin airing on HBO in the spring.

Besides Winslet, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2008, the series also stars Guy Pearce, Evan Rachel Wood and Melissa Leo.
