Head Out for Some Hollywood Hits

Merrick Cinema offers frequent specials for its film fanatics.

Chances are, you giddily sing along to the tune “What do tigers dream of, when they take a little tiger snooze…” every time that your husband and his pals watch the huge hit The Hangover. Even when Shrek comes on for your kids, you can’t help but dance along with that lovable green hunk and his friends. Your own personal collection consisting of Steel Magnolias, She’s All That, and Just Friends (who doesn’t love Ryan Reynolds?) has proven entertaining when you need a dose of romantic comedy mixed with drama and handsome celebrities.

Sometimes, though, you need to get out of the house and see what’s new in the theater world. Merrick Cinema offers the traditional film viewing experience; however, specials and deals are available as well.

Weekends are for relaxing, right? Well, after flying around from soccer practice to art class to family dinners, you probably need to recover from your weekend.

Gather you girls together and head to the theater at any time on a Monday, where all movies-day and night-are available to all ladies at the price of $5 per ticket. The offer is not available on holidays and some specialty types of films are an additional charge.

For a mid-week rendezvous with your significant other, try out the “Wacky Wednesday” special where all movies all day long are only $5.50. Before 5 p.m. every day, all of the films are $7. That price is applicable to the first showing of movies every Saturday and Sunday. Frequently, during the holidays, the theater hosts special events.

Currently, you can laugh hysterically at Hall Pass or Just Go With It, get your thrills with Unknown or take your little girls for a mommy-daughter day out with Justin Bieber in 3D, Rango, The Adjustment Bureau, Red Riding Hood, Paul and Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 will all be gracing the theater with their presence in the next few weeks.

Merrick Cinema retains classic charm in a quaint little space, allowing you and your movie viewing crew to relax in a homey, yet modern, space.
