Let a Little Loose, Ladies

Winter break is upon us and your children seem to have exciting social plans for the entire week. You can’t even start to imagine how you are ever going to get them to complete all of their homework assignments. Furthermore, although football season is over, your husband and his friends are still managing to do their local beer, wings and football sessions on Sundays-sans the sport, of course.

While you probably already know that you need to get out, you should also be aware of the fact that you need to let loose as well. There’s absolutely no reason why hearty eats and bubbly brews are reserved for the men of the house, and why a social agenda that would make Paris Hilton jealous belongs to the kids.

You’ll find a new event almost every night of the week at Jugs -n- Strokers Roadside Rest. Ladies, who are free on a Wednesday night, should take advantage of their fantastic $10 all you can drink night for women only. $2.75 domestic beers are the highlight of Tuesday evenings and live music spices up the scene on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 10:00pm. Bluestone is scheduled to play on Feb. 25 and Ridler will be rocking on Feb. 26^th.

Relive your high school years of chasing boyish-band heartthrobs by attending performances by some of Long Island’s best new bands on Thursday nights.  For a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere-still complete with “all the fixin’s,” head on out for a lazy Sunday afternoon with their famous free barbecue and $2 beers.

Enjoy the atmosphere, and remember a time in your life when beer and burgers were more important than being wined and dined. A fully stocked bar along with classic watering hole eats such as double cheeseburgers, chicken wings, mini tacos, onion rings and much more will have all the hipsters in town green with envy over your social life in minutes.
