The office of Immigration &amp; Refugee Services is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice to counsel, process, file, and represent clients before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and EOIR Immigration Court. Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. ROOSEVELT, NY — A man was charged with kidnapping a woman from her home in Roosevelt Friday, police said.According to the Nassau County Police Department's First Squad, the incident took place at 1:30 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the first precinct, and upon arrival, were informed that Kamani Roach, 29, of Queens, had been involved in a verbal argument with a woman, 21 — who was then forcefully removed from her home and placed inside his vehicle before he fled the scene, police said. A short time later, Nassau County police detectives worked in conjunction with the NYPD and located the woman, police said. Roach was located and placed into police custody without incident, police said. Roach was arrested and charged with second-degree kidnapping, as well as second-degree unlawful imprisonment, police said.He was slated for arraignment Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
