LI Man Charged With Forcibly Kidnapping Woman From Her Home: PD
The woman was located and he was arrested, police say.
ROOSEVELT, NY — A man was charged with kidnapping a woman from her home in Roosevelt Friday, police said.
According to the Nassau County Police Department's First Squad, the incident took place at 1:30 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the first precinct, and upon arrival, were informed that Kamani Roach, 29, of Queens, had been involved in a verbal argument with a woman, 21 — who was then forcefully removed from her home and placed inside his vehicle before he fled the scene, police said.
A short time later, Nassau County police detectives worked in conjunction with the NYPD and located the woman, police said. Roach was located and placed into police custody without incident, police said.

Roach was arrested and charged with second-degree kidnapping, as well as second-degree unlawful imprisonment, police said.
He was slated for arraignment Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
