A Uniondale man was arrested on Sunday and charged in a string of incidents that all happened within a few minutes in the morning, and culminated in him holding a knife to a young boy's throat.

According to police, Gregory Davidson, 43, of Liberty Street, entered a home on Southern Parkway in Uniondale at 6:50 a.m. through an unlocked kitchen door. Police say he took a knife and went into one of the bedrooms, where he grabbed a 9-year-old boy and threatened his life while holding the knife to his throat.

Police say Davidson took the boy into another bedroom, occupied by a 43-year-old woman, and demanded sexual conduct from her. When the woman's husband woke up, police say Davidson fled the home. The family called the police, who found Davidson in the backyard of another home on Southern Parkway and placed him under arrest.
