Lisa George Named Fundraiser of the Year by Hadassah

Lisa George, of Merrick, has been named “Fundraiser of the Year” by the Merrick Bellmore Dayan Lilah Group of Hadassah. She will be honored at a county-wide meeting of the Nassau Region of Hadassah.

Mrs. George moved to Merrick and joined Hadassah in 1991. A past president of the Dayan Lilah Group, she also has held the positions of Fundraising Vice President, Education Vice President and Programming Vice President. She is currently Raffle Chair. She has been honored as the Group’s Great Communicator and has received the Nassau Region of Hadassah’s Myrtle Wreath Award.

An attorney who is married to Harry, with whom she shares a law office in Bellmore, Mrs. George is part of a two-generation Hadassah Life Member Family. Harry, as well as the couple’s two adult sons, Michael and Andrew, are Associate Members of Hadassah.

Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. It enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters, as well as youth in Israel and America through opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy and Jewish continuity.
