Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A man was attacked by three muggers while walking in Uniondale Thursday night.According to detectives, a 19-year-old man was walking on Macon Place near Clare Road at 11:35 p.m. when three men approached from behind and placed a hard object, believed to be a gun, in his back. The muggers demanded money, and when the man refused, they hit him in the stomach. The man yelled and the muggers fled westbound on Macon Place and were last seen entering a dark colored SUV that headed west on Uniondale Avenue.Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
