The office of Immigration &amp; Refugee Services is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice to counsel, process, file, and represent clients before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and EOIR Immigration Court. Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A Roosevelt man was arrested and charged with setting multiple fires on residential streets in Merrick on Sunday night, Nassau police said. According to police, multiple 911 calls came in Sunday night for garbage can fires in homes located near to each other on Meadowbrook Road, Noel Court and Ott Lane. When officers arrived, they stopped Curtis Stevens, 30, of Madison Avenue, Roosevelt, based on a description given to them by a witness. After investigating, which included viewing a surveillance tape from a home, police arrested Stevens. Stevens is charged with fourth-degree arson, six counts of fifth-degree arson and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in public. He was arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
