Man Terrorized Neighborhood By Setting Fires: Nassau Police
He is facing seven counts of arson for setting multiple fires around a Nassau neighborhood Sunday night.

A Roosevelt man was arrested and charged with setting multiple fires on residential streets in Merrick on Sunday night, Nassau police said.
According to police, multiple 911 calls came in Sunday night for garbage can fires in homes located near to each other on Meadowbrook Road, Noel Court and Ott Lane.
When officers arrived, they stopped Curtis Stevens, 30, of Madison Avenue, Roosevelt, based on a description given to them by a witness. After investigating, which included viewing a surveillance tape from a home, police arrested Stevens.

Stevens is charged with fourth-degree arson, six counts of fifth-degree arson and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in public. He was arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
