Students from NCRMS Compete in the North Shore Invitational Math Tournament

Miller Place, NY (April 2019)—Miller Place’s young mathematicians calculated the means to success at the North Shore Invitational Math Tournament held at North Shore Middle School. The competition involved 210 students from over 36 schools across Long Island with two teams from NCRMS—sixth grade team: Taylor McHugh, Andrew McGuirk, Matthew Cirrito, Lucy Chang, Madison McErlean; and a combined seventh and eighth grade team: Alan Yue, Russell Platt, Christopher Barton, Leo Lin, Lilah Lindemann. NCRMS’s Chris Barton took first place in the individual competition and the combined seventh and eighth grade team took second place in the overall competition.
