Nassau Gas Station Robbed At Knifepoint

BREAKING: The knife-wielding man fled on foot after the robbery. Police are asking for the public's help to find him.

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a Merrick 7-Eleven at knifepoint early Monday morning.

According to detectives, a man entered the 7-Eleven, located at 203 Sunrise Highway, at 1:46 a.m. armed with a knife and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber fled on foot westbound on Sunrise Highway toward Babylon Turnpike. The employee was alone in the store at the time of the incident, and as unhurt.

The robber is described as a man, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds and wearing all black clothing and sunglasses.
