Nassau Police Arrest 5 Teens For Assault Outside High School

A teen was stabbed and hit with a baseball bat as he was walking home from school last week. Police say they arrested his attackers.

Five teenagers were arrested and charged with assault over the last week in connection with the attack of another teen who was walking home from school on Jan. 9.

According to police, a 15-year-old boy was walking home from Uniondale High School last Wednesday when he was attacked by the group. Police say he was stabbed and hit in the head with a baseball bat. The attack left the teen in serious but stable condition in a hospital. He has since been released.

Between Jan. 9 and 12, Nassau Police say they investigated and arrested the five teens: three 15-year-olds, one 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, all boys. Police have not released their names.

According to News 12, the five attackers are all associated with MS-13, Nassau Police said.

All five were charged with first-degree assault and first-degree gang assault. They were arraigned in First District court in Hempstead.
