Nassau Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Nursing Home Worker

He assaulted the woman before stealing her bag and fleeing.

Police are searching for a man who robbed a nursing home worker in Uniondale early Sunday morning.

According to detectives, the 57-year-old female victim was walking from her car to the entrance of Townhouse Center for Rehab and Nursing, located at 755 Hempstead Turnpike, where she is employed, at 5:30 a.m. She was approached in the parking lot by a man, approximately 25-years-old, who was holding an unknown object and demanded money, police said.

The man pushed the woman to the ground, causing a head injury. He then took her work bag and iPhone. The man ran north through the parking lot. The victim was treated and released at a local hospital.
