North Merrick Used-Car Salesman Robbed by Duo at Gunpoint
The robbers hit the salesman in the head and threw him to the ground, police say.
NORTH MERRICK, NY - Police are seeking two men who robbed a salesman at a North Merrick used-car dealer at gunpoint after hitting him in the head on Tuesday night.
The duo, armed with a handgun, entered Jerusalem Auto, Inc. on 1345 Jerusalem Avenue at about 6:15 p.m., hit the salesman on the head with an unknown object and threw him to the ground, police said.
The robbers then stole cash from the salesman's pocket, his wrist watch, wallet and then fled the scene, police said.

The man was transported to a local hospital for a laceration to the face. He was treated and released.
The robbers were wearing black ski masks and hoods. No further description is available at this time, police said.
