Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. On Facebook on Wednesday, Patch asked readers a simple question that has lots of answers: "What business would you like to see come to our town?" And the answers we received were as varied as the people that live in Bellmore and Merrick.A few people, it seems, have trouble shopping for shoes in the area. That's why "shoe store" was the most popular answer. After satisfying footwear, it seems that eateries were popular. Answers included diners, ice cream parlors, steak houses and a dessert cafe — so long as they're not chain restaurants.
