Donation to Underscore the Hidden Need Within Nassau County's Jewish Community

Members of the Nassau County Clergy joined Stop & Shop representatives at the Carle Place Stop & Shop when the supermarket donated a half ton of Kosher for Passover food to the Alix Rubinger Kosher Food Pantry, which is run by Congregation Beth-El of Massapequa.

Norma Gonsalves, the Presiding officer of the Nassau County Legislature and Laura Schaefer a member of the Legislature also attended.

Middle school students from Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School and the Schechter School of Long Island donated non-perishable Kosher for Passover food products as they learned to proactively assist those in need.
Stop & Shop’s donation of holiday staples included; matzah, soup, matzah-ball mix matzah-meal, grape juice, apple juice, gefilte fish, farfel, potatoes, canned fruit, canned tuna, applesauce, coffee and Passover cookies.
