
MERRICK, NY - A school bus headed to Merrick Avenue Middle School caught fire in Merrick on Wednesday morning.
The fire started at about 7:40 a.m. on Merrick Avenue near Kirkwood Avenue, police said.
There were no students on the bus at the time of the fire. The students all got off prior to the fire because the bus became disabled, police said.
No injuries were reported.
