Sen. Brooks Sponsoring Stop The Bleed Program
The free program will teach participants how to save people from serious injuries. Make sure you RSVP now.

Senator John Brooks, in partnership with Northwell Health, invites Long Islanders to a free "STOP THE BLEED" training session Thursday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at the North Merrick Library, located at 1691 Meadowbrook Road.
Similar to the use of CPR or automatic defibrillators, attendees will learn how to stop severe bleeding — which can make the difference between life and death for an injured person. Uncontrolled bleeding injuries can result from everyday accidents or natural or manmade disasters. Severe bleeding can kill within minutes, often before trained responders can arrive. Civilian bystanders, trained on simple steps to take in an emergency situation, can stop life-threatening bleeding and save lives.
RSVP is required. Please call Senator Brooks' district office at 516-882-0630 to save your spot.
