Teenager Arrested For Painting Swastikas At LI Playground: Police

MERRICK, NY — Police have made an arrest in connection to a bias incident at a Merrick playground last month.
A 14-year-old boy from Freeport was arrested on Thursday.
Two swastikas were spray painted at the Chatterton School playground. Police were alerted on July 30.

The boy was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, first-degree aggravated harassment, making graffiti and possession of graffiti instruments. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Nassau County Family Court at a later date.
