Join fellow Jets fans as they watch their home team take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Many local establishments around Merrick and Bellmore are offering great drink and food specials, even before the big game.

Already ate but want to find a spot with cheap drinks with good friends? J.C. Walkers will have two different specials on domestic beer during the Jets game. Domestic bottles will be available for $2.50, while domestic beer mugs will be sold for $1.50 a piece.

One of Merrick's favorite watering holes, Menna's Main Event is the perfect spot for any sports fan. With numerous televisions, a pool table and kitchen serving up wings, the place should be filled with fans in green and white. For Sunday's game, the bar will be offering $2.50 domestic pints, $1 hot dogs and $.25 wings all day and night.
Shamrocks Bar and Grill: 708 Merrick Avenue; 516-992-1818
Not much else can accompany football like beer and wings can, and Shamrocks Bar and Grill is making sure to have the combination ready to go for Sunday's game. The venue will be serving $.30 wings during the game and will have specials on Bud and Bud Light. Bud and Bud Light pitchers will be available for $7, while pints of the same brands will be sold for $2.25.

One of Merrick's most popular bar and grills, the Treehouse Sports Cafe will be giving football fans many reasons to watch the game in their location. On tap, there will be $3 pints of Bud Light and Miller Light. Buckets of mini Coronas and Coors Lights are also on special: five for $8. From the kitchen, the Treehouse Sports Cafe will be serving $5 pizzas and $.25 wings all day and night.
The Vine-Wine Bar: 2259 Merrick Road; 516-812-7883
If you are looking for a more relaxed and low-key joint to enjoy the game at, check out The Vine-Wine Bar. Although the bar is known for its wine, The Vine-Wine Bar also boasts an impressive collection of beer. All of the beers are imported and the venue has beers from around the world, including Holland, Mexico, Japan and Belgium. In addition to those selections, the venue also keeps it close to home with domestic beer from the Brooklyn Brewery, including a Brooklyn lager and pumpkin ale.
"Even though it is a lounge atmosphere, we still know how to enjoy the game," said Lynn Mione, co-owner of The Vine-Wine Bar.
