Two Men Arrested on Multiple Drug and Weapon Charges
BREAKING: Police found the illegal firearm after performing a routine traffic stop.

Two men were arrested on multiple drug and weapon charges after their car was stopped by police in Roosevelt Friday afternoon.
According to detectives, Noel Martin, 23, of Brookside Avenue, Roosevelt, and Darius Neil, 24, of Hastings Street, Baldwin, were pulled over by police officers on on Clinton Avenue at 12:50 p.m. on Friday. An investigation allegedly found marijuana in the car's ashtray and a baby bottle containing the residue of a mixture which included what was believed to be codeine. Both men were arrested.
During a search of the car, police say more marijuana was found, as well as a loaded, defaced, Rugar .44 caliber revolver that was reported stolen from Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Police said Neil was also found to have a stolen credit card in his possession.

Martin is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and two vehicle and traffic law infractions.
Neil is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both defendants are scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
