Long Island Swim School

Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. At Long Island Swim School, we teach children to swim the same way the best in the world do. By using age-appropriate, proven techniques children build real skills in kick, pull, body position, and breath control. Our logical, consistent progression turns every fundamental—whether blowing bubbles or learning butterfly timing—into a building block for efficient, confident swimming. Our professional staff are swimmers and coaches with the knowledge to give your child the skills to achieve more than just water safety. We provide the best foundation possible for success. Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Police are searching for two armed men that robbed a food delivery driver at gunpoint in Roosevelt Tuesday night. According to Robbery Squad detectives, a 53-year-old man was making a delivering for Ting Ho Kitchen to a Margaret Drive residence in Roosevelt at 8:50 p.m. when he was approached by two black men wearing masks, one armed with a silver handgun, that demanded money. The delivery man complied and the robbers fled on foot eastbound into the rear yards with an undisclosed amount of cash and the food. No injuries were reported. Subject 1 is described as about five feet, six inches tall with a thin build, in his late teens, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and mask armed with a silver handgun. Subject 2 is described as about five feet, eight inches tall with a thin build, in his early 20's wearing a black mask. Detectives request anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
