2,600+ Power Outages In Mid-Hudson Valley Friday
A storm with strong winds and rain are the primary cause of the outages.
MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — With parts of the region still on the mend from the power outages caused by the massive ice storm, more outages have happened due to strong overnight winds.
As of noon Friday, more than 2,600 Central Hudson customers are without electricity.
Once again, the hardest hit is Ulster County, with more than 1,900 customers left without power. The majority of the outages are in Rosendale — 1,159 — with Woodstock, Wawarsing and Olive in the low triple digits. Central Hudson is estimating restoration Friday.

There are also more than 240 outages in Dutchess County, with 125 in North East and 69 in Clinton. There is no estimated restoration time.
Orange County Central Hudson customers in Cornwall and the city of Newburgh are without electricity.

There are more than 280 O&R customers in Orange County without power. Wallkill and Greenville are the hardest hit, but the utility company estimates restoration Friday.
