2 Albany Men Accused Of Illegal Drug Possession
Their car was pulled over for a vehicle and traffic violation.
CATSKILL, NY — A pair of Albany men were accused of having illegal drugs while traveling on the Thruway.
The New York State Police, around 3:15 a.m. Saturday, troopers stopped a car on Interstate 87 in the town of Catskill for a vehicle and traffic violation.
While speaking with the driver, police established probable cause to search the car and its occupants.

Aaron P. Zwanziger, 23, of Albany, who was the driver, had a glass smoking device that contained cocaine, police said.
The passenger, Austin R. Daniel, 34, of Albany, was found to be in possession of about 18 grams of crack cocaine, 3.6 grams of cocaine, four decks of heroin and 141 strips of suboxone.

Both men were taken into custody and process at the Albany barracks.
Zwanziger was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Catskill Court April 8.
Daniel was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.
He was arraigned in the Town of Catskill Court and released on his own recognizance with a court date to be determined.
