Update: 'Armed And Dangerous,' Manhunt Underway After Killing, Arson In Orange County: NYSP

MIDDLETOWN, NY — A massive manhunt is still underway in the Hudson Valley, and police are warning the public to use caution.
NYSP Troop F Middletown is searching for 32-year-old Thomas David Ryan in connection to a killing on Thursday on the Greenville Turnpike, in the town of Greenville.
"The New York State Police, Troop F BCI, in partnership with our local, county, and federal law enforcement partners, continue to actively investigate this homicide and are pursuing every available lead to locate Thomas Ryan," Captain Brad Natalizio, Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation, said in a statement released on Friday afternoon. "We are asking the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any sightings of Ryan or the victim’s gray 2016 Toyota Prius (New York registration HNH7671). Investigators have coordinated an extensive, multi-agency effort that includes neighboring police departments, crime analysis centers, transportation partners, and aviation resources to locate the suspect. Thomas Ryan should be considered armed and dangerous."

The New York State Police Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation is asking residents of the Greenville community to review any available home surveillance footage recorded from approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, through the overnight hours.
"Anyone who observes suspicious activity is urged to contact the New York State Police immediately," Natalizio said. "Even information that may seem insignificant could prove valuable to the investigation."

At about 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, troopers from the State Police Greenville barracks responded to a reported structure fire at a residence on the Greenville Turnpike.
After the fire was extinguished, a man's body was found inside the home. The preliminary investigation has revealed the fire was deliberately set, and state police are investigating the death as a homicide.
Ryan is 6'2 and approximately 200 lbs, according to NYSP.
Ryan is believed to still be driving that 2016 gray Toyota Prius with license plate HNH-7671. He was last seen in the area of the Greenville Turnpike wearing black sweatpants and a black t-shirt.
