28-Year-Old Harley Rider Killed When Motorcycle Collides With Deer

He was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson southbound on Route 302 when a deer crossed his path, causing the early morning crash.

TOWN OF CRAWFORD, NY — A tragic accident took the life of a Hudson Valley man this weekend.

Town of Crawford police say that on Saturday, shortly before 7 a.m., they responded to a motorcycle accident on State Route 302, just south of the intersection with State Route 17K.

28-year-old Stephen Montgomery, of Pine Bush, was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson southbound on State Route 302 when a deer crossed his path, causing a collision.

His motorcycle continued down the roadway, hitting a pvc pipe.

Montgomery was taken to Garnet Medical Center by Pine Bush Ambulance where he died from his injuries.

The Bullville Fire Department and the New York State Police assisted at the scene.
