Police ID Driver, Passengers Who Died In Palisades Parkway Van Crash

It was carrying workers back to NYC from the company's distribution warehouse in Orange County.

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ — Palisades Interstate Parkway Police have identified three people killed in the crash Friday on the parkway just south of the New York-New Jersey border.

The van was a hired transport going from the Amscan warehouse in Chester to New York City, carrying workers home.

"It is believed the driver suffered a medical emergency based on statements given by passengers inside the vehicle," LT. Raymond E. Walter said.

There were 12 people in the van. Among the dead: driver George Massey, 54, of the Bronx; and passengers Clara Estrella, 50, of New York City; Jose Luis Romero Munoz, 40, of the Bronx; and Candida Frias; 60, of New York City.
