50 Dogs Left Without Adequate Food, Water: NYSP

UNIONVILLE, NY — An Orange County woman was accused of leaving about 50 dogs in a home and not providing them with enough water or food.

The New York State Police said Gulsen Iroldi, 41, of Unionville, was arrested for violating Section 353 of the Agriculture & Markets Law, torturing animals/failure to provide sustenance.

An investigation by the state police found that Iroldi left about 50 dogs in a residence with very little food and water.

Troopers were assisted by the Town of Deerpark Police Department.

The dogs were removed by the dog wardens from Deerpark and Minisink and relocated to the Port Jervis Humane Society where they were evaluated by local vets.

Authorities said the dogs were cleaned, groomed and provided food and water and will all make a full recovery.

Iroldi was released on an appearance ticket.
