Almost 2K Central Hudson Customers Without Power Tuesday
A fast-moving thunderstorm helped to turn out the lights through the area.

A fast-moving thunderstorm knocked the power out for about 2,000 Central Hudson customers Tuesday afternoon. As of 4 p.m. there were more than 1,700 customers in Ulster County without electricity.
The City of Kingston was hit the hardest with slightly more than 1,000 waiting for power to be restored. The restoration estimate for Kingston is 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Also hit in the triple digits are Marbletown, with 380, and Marlborough, with 110. They are estimated to be restored by 6:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively.

There are a handful of outages in Dutchess County, with East Fishkill having the majority of customers without power. Central Hudson estimates restoration by 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
