Alzheimer's Association names chair of Rockland Walk committee
Kickoff party for walk volunteers set for March 12 at New City Library

Ken Price of Nanuet has been named chair of the planning committee for the Rockland Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is set for Sunday, Oct. 11, at Provident Bank Park (Boulders Stadium) in Pomona.
The Vice President of Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo in White Plains, Price is a longtime Rockland County resident. He graduated from Clarkstown High School in 1980, earning a bachelor’s degree in management science from SUNY Platsburgh and a master’s degree in business administration from Pace University. He has a 20-year-old son.
Price said Alzheimer’s disease has had a personal impact on his life, since his father, Eugene, had it before passing away in 2015, and his mother was his father’s caregiver.

“I’ve always admired the Alzheimer’s Association from afar, but have been even more impressed since my father was diagnosed with the disease years ago,” Price said. “Since then, I’ve simply been a walker as part of a family team, but I am looking forward to taking a more active role in the success of the Rockland County walk in 2020.”
Rockland Walk Manager Sue Bunce said Price brings a strong combination of professional skill and personal devotion to the cause.

“Ken’s enthusiasm and business acumen brings the leadership to get us to the next level of fundraising,” Bunce said. “In addition, his personal desire to support our mission and find a cure makes him a perfect fit to grow our walk and empower others to do so as well.”
