Assemblyman Cahill Tests Positive For Coronavirus
The Democrat from Kingston said he was fully vaccinated.
KINGSTON, NY — Assemblyman Kevin Cahill, who represents the 103rd District, tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Democrat from Kingston, who was fully vaccinated, said in a news release he had experience mild symptoms, took a rapid COVID-19 test and obtained a positive result.
Cahill said he is in good health and will continue working for his constituents through a careful and necessary period of quarantine.

"Out of an abundance of caution and following CDC and medical professional advice, I am self-quarantining for the next few days," he said.
Cahill said he urges everyone to follow the guidance of health care professionals and get vaccinated.

His Kingston office will remain open to the public, with masking requested upon entry regardless of vaccination status.
The 103rd Assembly District is comprised of the towns of Red Hook and Rhinebeck in Dutchess County and parts of Ulster County.
