Beacon Farmers' Market to Open Indoors for Winter
During the colder months, the market will be at the Veterans' Building on Main Street.
BEACON, NY — There’s no need to have withdrawals over not being able to get your goodies now that the Beacon Famers’ Market at the train station has closed.
On Sunday, Dec. 4, the Beacon Winter Farmers’ Market will open for the season in the Bingo Hall at the Veterans’ Building, 413 Main St. The hours each Sunday are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to information on the market’s Facebook page, there will be new vendors with winter vegetables, pastured pork and veal, pastrami, cookies and handmade New York cheeses.

Alternating weeks will see gluten-free cookies and baked goods from Curious Tongue Creations, alpaca fiber knit goods from Lilymoore Farm, baked goods from the Cohen Family Bakery and fresh greens, pesto and honey from Obercreek Farm.
Those new vendors will join returning vendors, which include All You Knead, Eggberts Free Range Farm, Picklelicious and Fishkill Farms.

Organizers said there will be additional craft vendors for the holiday markets Dec. 4, 11 and 18, selling handmade soaps, fiber products, dried flowers and pottery.
