Behavioral Therapist Accused of Inappropriately Touching Teen Client

The man works as an independent contractor as a family support services clinician.

MONTGOMERY, NY — A behavioral therapist was arrested by State Police for inappropriately touching a child.

Police said James W. Weatherstone, 57, of Warwick, was charged with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.

A complaint was received by the State Police about a 16-year-old who was receiving behavioral therapy sessions from Weatherstone, who works as an independent contractor as a family support services clinician.

Police said Weatherstone acted inappropriately when providing therapy to the teenager.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cornwall Court Feb. 8.
