Coronavirus: Ulster County Announces 3rd Death
The county opened a second mobile testing site Monday.
KINGSTON, NY— Two additional deaths related to the new coronavirus were reported Tuesday in Ulster County. Pat Ryan, the county executive, confirmed that both were men, one a 49-year-old from New Paltz and the other a 55-year-old from Plattekill. No other details were made available.
"On behalf of the 180,000 residents of Ulster County, my deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the individuals that we have lost," he said.
"These tragic deaths are a stark reminder that we must all do our part to ensure we stop the spread of COVID-19," Ryan said.

Ulster's first death was reported Monday. A 76-year-old Plattekill man died Sunday at Vassar Brothers Medical Center due to complications from COVID-19.

There are currently 215 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Ulster County and three fatalities.
On Monday, the county announced its second drive-through mobile COVID-19 testing site located at Ellenville Regional Hospital. The new location will be open five days a week and will continue to increase testing capacity in Ulster County.
Last week, Ulster County opened a drive-through test site located at TechCity which tested more than 600 people in its first week of operation.
