'Die-in' Planned As Protest To Faso Visit In Amenia

The congressman is visiting a rural healthcare center in Dutchess County.

AMENIA, NY — A “die-in” is being planned Friday in Dutchess County against Rep. John Faso’s vote for the American Health Care Act. Organizers for Indivisible the Fight is On said demonstrators will gather in front of the Amenia Island Cemetery, which is across from the Hudson River Healthcare Community Health Center. Faso, the first-term Republican representative for the 19th district, is scheduled to visit the center.

The demonstration is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 12.

Organizers said members of the group who have health conditions will wear red, showing the personal impact of the legislation for which Faso voted.
