Dutchess County Now Under Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service has cancelled the winter weather warning for the county.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The National Weather Service has downgraded its winter storm warning for Dutchess County to a winter weather advisory. As of 3:51 p.m., the NWS said total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected, but snow had yet to begin.

The new advisor is in effect until 8 a.m. Thursday, March 22.

Periods of now are expected to develop through sunset, with periods of snow continuing through late Wednesday night.

Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions to develop during the evening commute and continue through late Wednesday night. Reduced visibilities will be possible at times.
