Dutchess County Poughkeepsie DMV To Reopen To Public
All other county DMV offices remain closed, officials said.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The Poughkeepsie location for the Dutchess County DMV will be reopening and serving the public by appointment only. Appointments may be made starting Friday by calling 845-486-2388 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.
Accepted license transactions include:
- Standard, Real ID and Enhanced License renewals and transfers from out of state
- First-time applications to upgrade to Real ID, Enhanced licenses or non-driver ID cards
- First-time applications for non-driver ID cards
- Applications for passenger or CDL permits for Dutchess County residents only
- Conditional or restricted licenses
To get into the building, located at 22 Market St. in Poughkeepsie, all visitors must enter through the front doors on Market Street. The outside doors will remain locked until 9 a.m.

Visitors must sanitize their hands at the sanitizer station in the lobby and check-in at the desk in the front foyer.
The public must wear a face covering or mask to enter the building and continue to wear it inside until directed otherwise by staff. Disposable face coverings will be available upon request, while supplies last. Anyone who will not wear a face covering may be asked to make an appointment for a later date.

The security officer in the lobby is to be provided with the visitor's destination to verify the appointment before proceeding to the appointment. If you are more than five minutes late, the appointment is forfeited.
Visitors and staff must maintain 6 feet of social distance when appropriate.
There is a drop box in the foyer which is acceptable for license plate surrenders, title only, new registrations and registration renewals.
All other Dutchess County DMV locations remain closed.
