Dutchess Man Intentionally Strikes Man With Car: NYSP
Police said the victim suffered a cut to his leg, and a Jeep was damaged.

LLOYD, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of using his car to injure someone.
The New York State Police said troopers were sent shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday to the parking lot of America's Best Value Inn on Route 9W in the town of Lloyd for a report of a car striking a pedestrian.
The preliminary investigation found that Alan S. Hanson Jr., 22, of Lloyd, was in a verbal fight with Matthew Hutton, 34, of Poughkeepsie.

Police said, during the argument, Hutton got into a 2010 Audi and intentionally struck Hanson with the car, pinning him against a 1999 Jeep Cherokee.
The incident caused a cut on Hanson's left thigh and also damaged the Jeep, police said.

Hutton then left the area, according to authorities.
Hanson was treated by Mobile Life at the scene and taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Around 4 a.m., Hutton went to the Town of Lloyd Police Department to report his involvement in the fight. He was taken to the state police Highland barracks where he was arrested.
He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, second-degree criminal mischief and assault with intent to cause physical injury, felonies.
Hutton was arraigned in the Town of Lloyd Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
