Charge Dropped for NYC Woman on the Thruway
She paid a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation. A charge of driving while impaired was dropped by the court.

UPDATE — After being stopped on I-87, and given a ticket for an unsafe lane change and for pulling over too close to a fire hydrant, Lesley R. Schulhof, 37, of New York City, was checked by a Drug Recognition Expert officer and released to continue her trip.

NEWBURGH, NY – At about 1:16 p.m. Saturday, State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the Town of Newburgh, for a vehicle and traffic violation.

The trooper who interviewed the driver, Lesley R. Schulhof, 37, of New York City, thought that she was impaired by drugs. Schulhof was taken into custody and transported to SP Newburgh for processing.
While at SP Newburgh, Schulhof was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), and submitted to further testing to determine the alcohol and or drug content in her system.

Schulhof was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Newburgh Court on June 13.
