Easter Sunrise Service On Walkway Over The Hudson
The gates to the New York state park will open about a half hour before the service.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Want to experience a different kind of sunrise service on Easter Sunday? The First Congregational United Church of Christ is holding its sunrise service on the Walkway Over the Hudson which spans the river between the City of Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County and the Town of Lloyd in Ulster County.
According to the church’s website, “Join us on the Walkway Over the Hudson as the light of Christ’s resurrection dawns in our lives. We’ll meet at the center overlook by the flagpole. We’ll hear the wonderful story of that first Easter morning, we’ll sing and we’ll celebrate with shouts of joy.”
The service will be held from 6:15 a.m. to 7 a.m. The gates to the state park will open at 5:45 a.m.
