The woman initially gave the arresting Trooper someone else's name.

DOVER, NY — A Stormville woman finds herself in legal trouble after driving erratically on Route 22 in the Town of Dover, police said. Troopers arrested Alyssa M. Bevilacqua, 49 of Stormville, and charged her with driving while intoxicated–drugs, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and second-degree criminal impersonation, misdemeanors.

Around 2 p.m. Nov. 4, Troopers received a report of an erratically driven vehicle that wasn’t staying in its lane and had swerved into oncoming traffic.

The vehicle was eventually located in the parking lot of Dover Middle School.

Police said Bevilacqua was showing signs of physical impairment and was unable to produce a driver’s license, but gave the police identifying information, which came back to a valid driver’s license.

Bevilacqua failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police said.

During processing, it was determined that she had provided false identification to the arresting Trooper. The information was, in fact, a relative’s information she gave.

Bevilacqua’s own license was found to have been suspended.

She was evaluated by a drug recognition expert and was arraigned in the Town of Dover Court and was released after posting $500 bail or $1,000 bond.

Bevilacqua is scheduled to reappear in court Nov. 21.
