Faso Receives Trump Endorsement For Re-election
He is seeking a second two-year term as the representative of the 19th Congressional District.

President Donald Trump has weighed in on the race for New York's 19th Congressional District. Shortly before noon Tuesday, the president tweeted his "complete and total Endorsement!" for Rep. John Faso, R-Kinderhook.
Faso is the incumbent and is seeking a second two-year term.
He is facing Democrat Antonio Delgado of Rhinebeck.

In his tweet, the president said Faso has worked "hard and smart" and said he was strong on crime, the second amendment and borders.
Faso voted in favor of the American Health Care Act, which would have repealed the Affordable Care Act. He voted against the tax overhaul bill, however.

Delgado was endorsed by former President Barack Obama.
The democrat will be joined at a rally Friday in Kingston by former Vice President Joe Biden.
Also on the ballot in November will be New Paltz's Steven Greenfield on the Green Party line and "Law and Order" actress Diane Neal of Hurley, running as an independent.
The 19th Congressional District is comprised of all or part of 11 counties in the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Catskills and Central New York regions of New York.
