HYDE PARK, NY — A car-tractor trailer crash Sunday on Route 9 took the life of Hyde Park woman. State police said they were called around 11:45 a.m. to the site of a crash on Albany Post Road/Route 9 south of Mills Cross Road in the Town of Hyde Park.
Mindy. R. Dohrenwend, 32, of Hyde Park, was driving a 2005 Honda CRV south on Route 9.
Police said the initial investigation suggest that she lost control of her vehicle and went into the opposite lane, directly in the path of a southbound 2017 Freightliner tractor trailer, which was being driven by Alexander M. Lunan Marrison, 49, of Brooklyn.

Dohrenwend was pronounced dead at the scene by Northern Dutchess Paramedics.
Working with the state police at the scene were also the Roosevelt Fire Department and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner's Office.
