Fire Reported At Highland Motel Tuesday

HIGHLAND, NY — A fire broke out in a mid-Hudson Valley motel Tuesday morning. The Super 8 by Wyndham located at 3423 Route 9W in West Highland was the scene of the blaze that occurred one of the second-floor room on the motel's north end.

There was smoke and water damage in several room and ceilings had to be pulled down so the fire wouldn't spread, midhudsonnews.com said.

Power was turned off to the building while firefighters worked the scene.
