Fishkill Village Police Officer Accused Of Stealing From Union

The mayor said the police officer hasn't been on the schedule to work for a while.

FISHKILL, NY — A police officer for the Village of Fishkill has been accused of stealing more than $36,000 from a police officer’s union. State police said Lori A. Bailey, 47, of Highland Falls, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police said Bailey embezzled $36,720 from the Village of Fishkill Police Benevolent Association while she was serving as its treasurer.

She utilized the funds for her own personal benefit, police said.

Bailey was arraigned in the Village of Fishkill Court and was released on $1,000 bail.

She is next scheduled to appear before the court on June 25.

Fishkill Mayor James Miccio said that while Bailey is technically a police officer she has not been scheduled for shifts for a few months, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
