Alzheimer's Association to offer educational workshop in Garrison

GARRISON -- When someone has dementia, there are some difficult conversations that inevitably come up, such as going to the doctor, when to stop driving and making legal and financial plans for the future.

The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a program with helpful tips to assist families with these discussions. The program is primarily for those who have a family member or close friend beginning to experience Alzheimer’s or another dementia.

“Dementia Conversations” will be held from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Desmond-Fish Library, Route 472. With questions or to RSVP, call the Alzheimer’s Association at 800.272.3900.
